Omisore Allays Osun Workers Fears Over Unpaid Salaries

The gubernatorial candidate Of the People’s Democratic Party in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore, has urged civil servants in the state not to despair despite the delay in payment of their salaries.Omisore said this in a New Year message to the people of the state.
A copy of the message was made available to our correspondent in Osogbo, on Wednes- day, by Omisore’s media aide, Mr. Victor Oriola. He was optimistic that the challenges posed on their ways would soon be over 2015. Omisore, who is a former deputy Governor in the state, said that he was “aware that most of the workers had not been paid for the past three months, while market women and artisans are experiencing very low patronage due to the salaries issues.” He, however, said that they should join him in his efforts to rescue the state from the dire situation the state had been allegedly plunged into.  The Message read: “I want to appreciate you for your steadfast and commitment towards making Osun state   one of the best in the country.  “I also want to admonish you for standing firm despite daunting challenges. I understand that as you receive this message most of you, especially, the civil servants have not received your salaries in the last three months. “The market men and women, the artisan and the entire populace are in dire straits, because of economic downturn of  our dear state.  “That is the ‘Rescue Mission’ we espoused when we started the political journey to put our dear state, the ‘State of Living Spring’, on economic prosperity.
