It was a thing of joy for the entire people of Arandun in the Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State when the Deputy Governorship candidate of the People Democratic Party, PDP, Mallam Yinka Ahmed Aluko, joined the community to celebrate the 2015 New year Fiesta.At the event which was witnessed by over 1000 members of the community as? well as friends from within and outside the state, Aluko assured that the incoming PDP government will draw governance nearer to the grassroot in its bid to ensure rapid growth and development.
Aluko who addressed mammoth crowd at the residence of the President General of Orisun Igbomina, Chief Gbenga Awoyale, expressed confidence in the ability of Sen S.S. Ajibola to delivered the people of the state from the 'persisting economic and political bondage' witnessed in the state.
While promising that the PDP government will abolish Joint Allocation for Local government areas popularly called JAAC, Aluko maintained that desirable and developmental projects will be attracted to strategic areas across the state.
The crowd was composed of women associations, youth groups, Fulani community as well as PDP chieftains and supporters from the Kwara South Senatorial District.
Also speaking, the PDP chairman in the Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, Alhaji Abdulazeez Yaqub, assured that "PDP is Irepodun and Irepodun is PDP" even as he pledged his unflinching support for the Ajibola/Aluko guber ticket.
