It’s been a year of showstopping glamour on Manchester’s social scene, with the city’s soap stars, WAGs and fashionistas pulling out all the stops with their red carpet ballgowns and night out dresses.

Young woman abandoned as baby issues fresh plea to find her birth mum on her 20th birthday

A young woman who was abandoned as a baby has issued a fresh appeal for help to find her birth mother as she celebrates her 20th birthday tomorrow.

Leah, whose surname we have been asked not to use, was left in a toilet cubicle at Wythenshawe Hospital on December 29, 1994.

Nobody came forward after an appeal in the M.E.N. earlier this month, but the determined nursing student refuses to give up hope.

Leah, who has a two-year-old son, Caleb, said: “It would mean the absolute world to hear from her. It’s 20 years ago and I just hope she’d be thinking of me.

Fabregas frustrated by yellow card
